ESMA has published a compliance table for its Guidelines on MiFID II product governance (2023 revised version) [ESMA35-43-3448] (see eventid=22543).
To recall, the guidelines set out the MiFID II product governance requirements, specifying sustainability-related objectives, identifying a target market per cluster, determination of a compatible distribution strategy and a periodic review of products.
The compliance table shows that all countries are or will be compliant by 1 January 2024, with the exception of Germany, which will be compliant by 10 February 2024 and Hungary, which will be compliant by 3 April 2024.
