On 2 January 2023, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) published Regulation No 22-08 of 31 December 2022 on the setting of the countercyclical buffer rate for the first trimester of 2023.
Article 1 of the present regulation states the following (emphasis ours), quote:
„In accordance with article 59-7 of the law of 5 April 1993 relating to the financial sector („LSF“), on the basis of the elements documented in Annex 1 and the recommendation of the Systemic Risk Committee of 8 December 2022 concerning the setting of the countercyclical buffer rate for the first trimester of the year 2023, documented in Appendix 2, the countercyclical buffer rate applicable to the relevant exposures located in Luxembourg remains set at 0.50% for the first trimester of the year 2023.“
Regulation No 22-08 entered into force on the day of its publication in the Journal officiel, hence on 2 January 2023.
