Corrigendum to Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/429 of 25 February 2023 implementing Regulation (EU) No 269/2014 concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine (Official Journal of the European Union L 59 I of 25 February 2023)

A corrigendum to Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/429 stipulating sanction measures in view of actions that undermine or threaten the „territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine“ was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU. The regulation added numerous persons and entities to the list of sanctioned parties set out in Annex I of Council Regulation (EU) No 269/2014.
The corrigendum now modifies an error pertaining to the numbering of the newly sanctioned entities: Thereafter, “entries 175 to 208 are renumbered as entries 176 to 209″.
The correction is important in so far that the old entry 175 referencing the „Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries Corporation (HESA)“ has NOT been removed from the sanctions list set out in the 2014 Regulation; the entity is still subject to asset freezing measures.
