New Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1564 regarding restrictive measures with respect to the Democratic Republic of Congo was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU. The Regulation modifies Annex Ia of Council Regulation (EC) No 1183/2005 – which includes the names of persons, entities, and bodies that are related in any form to violating the arms embargo towards the Congo and / or supporting the instability in the country – by adding nine persons to that sanctions list. The following individuals are affected:
