Financial Promotion Annex for Dual Regulated Firms [docx]

ID 25676

In view of the coming into force of the new financial promotion rules under policy statement (PS23/6), the Financial Conduct Authority has issued another new application form for firms that wish to engage in the approval of financial promotions of unauthorized firms. This particular form must be filed by all firms that are dually regulated by the FCA and the Prudential Regulation Authority and that wish to add financial promotions to their current business activities. It shall be noted in this context that existing firms can continue to approve financial promotions up to February 7, 2024. Following this deadline, an approval from the FCA is needed.
The form requests information on the type of financial promotions the firms seeks to approve, the firm’s policies and procedures to ensure that the promotion adheres to the FCA’s requirements pertaining to clarity, transparency, and truthfulness, and any supporting information such as the planned revenue from the activity.
Please note that this particular form may only be filed by entities that themselves are already registered with the FCA pursuant to section 31 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
