In view of the coming into force of the new financial promotion rules under policy statement (PS23/6), the Financial Conduct Authority has issued various new forms and instructions, including the following:
– Variation of Permission (VoP) application – notes (instructions)
– Financial Promotions Variation of Permission form
– Financial Promotions Spreadsheet Twelve Months [xlsx]
The Financial Promotions Variation of Permission form must be filed by all firms that are currently registered and authorized by the FCA (or will be registered and authorized in the future) and that wish to include or exclude the approving of financial promotions in or from their conducted activities, respectively. The corresponding notes provide instructions as to the completion of the form.
The enclosed Excel file must be submitted by firms alongside an application for approving financial promotions in the future or for having a change in permission to include or exclude such activities. The file thereby requires detailed information on any financial promotions that a firm may have approved within the last 12 months as the case may be.
