The AMF and the ACPR are jointly organizing the fourth edition of the Fintech Forum on Monday as part of the French Fintech Week. This forum serves as a platform for stakeholders in the innovative finance ecosystem to discuss the significant regulatory challenges facing the sector.
The Forum Fintech, initiated by the AMF and the ACPR in 2016, is a forum for monitoring, dialogue, and proposal generation aimed at better understanding the issues posed by the development of Fintech. It addresses both opportunities and risks in the industry. This year marks the fourth consecutive year that the two authorities are organizing a day of debates and practical workshops for industry professionals.
The morning session, open to the press, will commence with introductory remarks from François Villeroy de Galhau, the Governor of the Banque de France and President of the ACPR, and Marie-Anne Barbat Layani, the President of the AMF. The morning session will conclude with an address by Jean-Noël Barrot, the Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Telecommunications.
The first part of the morning will focus on „Tokenization of Financial Assets and the Secondary Market“, featuring a roundtable discussion with industry experts including Natasha Cazenave (Executive Director of ESMA), Natacha Dezert (Blockchain & Digital Assets Program Manager at BNP Paribas Securities Services), Claudine Hurman (Director of Innovation, Infrastructure, and Payments at the Banque de France), and Mark Kepeneghian (Founder and President of Kriptown).
The second part of the morning will explore the „Climate Emergency: Roles of Finance and Technology“ and will include insights from Valérie Masson-Delmotte (Director of Climate Science Research at CEA), followed by a roundtable discussion on the challenges of „sustainable Fintech“ featuring experts such as Sabrine Aouida (Co-founder and Impact Manager at Weefin), Camille Buewaert (Mission Officer at the Institute of Sustainable Finance), and Joseph Choueifaty (Co-founder and President of Goodvest).
In the afternoon, exclusively for industry professionals, there will be four educational workshops led by the two authorities on significant regulatory themes, including AML-CFT, preparation for MiCA, cybersecurity, and information technology risks, and an overview of regulatory requirements and procedures for payment services (approval, registration).
Throughout the afternoon, Fintech-Innovation experts from the ACPR and AMF will be available at booths to address questions from ecosystem stakeholders.
Interested stakeholders are invited to consult the agenda and to register here.
