The Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) has issued a press release to inform about the imposition of a fine of PLN 14,800 on Polski Gaz TUW for three cases of violations of Article 14 of the Act of 22 May 2003 on Compulsory Insurance, Insurance Guarantee Fund and Polish Motor Insurers‘ Bureau. The violations occurred between 2017 and 2018 and involved the delay of the payment of legitimate insurance claims.
The fact that Polski Gaz TUW has taken adequate measures to prevent any future violations has been taken into account when determining the amount of the fine.
