The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has published a press statement to announce that it will be hosting a workshop on November 7 and November 8, 2023 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, primarily addressed at directors, senior management, and key executives of national community banks and federal savings associations.
The workshop entitled „Building Blocks: Developing Strong Management“ takes place on November 7, from 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. and November 8, from 8:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. It incorporates lectures, discussions, and exercises and focuses on three key issues: strategy, people, and oversight. The purpose is to equip directors and senior management personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their roles. The workshop thereby covers a wide range of topics, including regulatory compliance, governance, information management, strategic planning, risk management, and effective communication with regulatory bodies.
