OCC Releases Virtual Workshop Schedule for Community Bank Directors and Senior Management

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has released its 2024 schedule of virtual workshops designed specifically for directors, senior management, and key executives of national community banks and federal savings associations. These workshops, led by OCC examiners, are free of charge and aim to offer practical training and guidance to „support the safe and sound operation of community-based financial institutions“.
Scheduled from January to March, these workshops will cover various topics, including the recognition and management of credit risk, the management of operational risk, the development of management capabilities, the effectiveness of risk governance, and compliance risk.
The workshops are scheduled from 1:00 through 4:00 p.m. EST on the following dates:
– January 9, 2024: Credit Risk: Recognizing and Responding to Risk
– January 18, 2024: Operational Risk: Navigating Rapid Changes
– February 15, 2024: Building Blocks: Developing Strong Management
– February 22, 2024: Risk Governance: Improving Effectiveness
– March 5, 2024: Compliance Risk: Understanding the Rules
