The Office of Foreign Assets Control, OFAC, has published a press statement to inform that on June 10, 2024 or around that date, it will retire its FTP-server (ofacftp.treas.gov). The termination is primarily due to enhancements to the Treasury’s security policies.
OFAC acknowledges that numerous users rely on ofacftp.treas.gov to automate the downloading of sanctions list data which is why it will keep the server operational for an extra year. This shall provide users with ample time to develop automation methods that utilize the list content found on OFAC’s website at the provided URLs, namely the
