Following the European Council’s adoption of an eleventh package of restrictive measures against Russia in response to its continuous aggression towards Ukraine, the European Commission (EC) has published corresponding new questions and answers (Q&As) in that regard. The Commission thereby outlines the rationale for adopting the new measures and briefly summarizes the scope of the new measures which involve further trade restrictions for the export to Russia of certain goods (aircraft parts, firearms, cars beyond 1,900 cm³), the ban of transportation of certain products throughout Russian territory, further asset freezing measures, prohibitions as regards third-countries that may be importing goods from the EU for purposes of Russian use, and many others.
