ID 22611

Following a corresponding consultation in February this year (please see EventID 19816 in this context), the Central Bank of Sweden, Riksbank, has made a final decision as regards its proposed modification to the publication time of the SWESTR, the Swedish krona Short Term Rate, the proposed additional publication of daily rate variances, and proposed modifications to the content of the quarterly report issued by Riksbank on the SWESTR. As most respondents were supportive of the changes, so Riksbank, it will proceed as proposed and implement the following changes:
1. modify the timing of the publication of the SWESTR as follows:
Table 2 – New Publication Times of the SWESTR

2. additionally publish, on a daily basis, the variances in the rates in the overnight transactions as follows:

3. provide in Riksbank’s quarterly report information on the composition of the SWESTR transaction dataset by furnishing a breakdown of the transaction volume by
– counterparty (banks, non-financial companies, and the National Debt Office, and financial companies) and
– size category.

Unlike proposed in the consultation, Riksbank will move the deadline for reporting feedback from contributing institutions as regards „flagged transaction“ (those with supposedly erroneous data) to 8:15 which shall allow Riskbank enough time to deal with the transactions prior to calculation at 8:30.
