IVASS has published its Technical instruction for transmission of AML survey, which is a follow up to the communication given through the letter to the market of 29 November 2022 regarding the new procedure for collecting data on the insurance business carried out in Italy in the life business in order to assess the risks of ML/TF as per IVASS Regulation 44/2019 on the insurance business carried out in Italy, in relation to the collection of premiums in the non-life classes as per IVASS Regulation 50/2022.
The purpose of this procedure is to gather information related to AML measures, as well as data on non-life premiums collected through insurance intermediaries or without mediation. The deadline for companies, both Italian and foreign, to submit the required information is 30 June 2023.
Detailed instructions for electronic data transmission on the Infostat platform have been published on the IVASS website. To participate in the new data collection method, companies that are not yet registered must register themselves on the Infostat platform by following the instructions provided. The registration process can be accessed through the link provided in the communication.
It is mandatory for companies that have collected non-life or life premiums in Italy during the reporting year to submit the requested information.
