On April 28, 2023, the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) published a press release to inform that the appointed bankruptcy trustee of Ursus SA (in bankruptcy), a manufacturer of agricultural machinery which was recently fined for violating the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) on various occasions, has filed an application to have the case reconsidered by the KNF.
To recall, Ursus SA was fined in total PLN 1,950,000 for several violations of Article 17 of the Market Abuse Regulation, including violations concerning the withholding of information as regards applications of the company to launch restructuring proceedings, as regards significant losses in preliminary financial reports, and as regards its intention to sell a subsidiary of the company, among others. Due to the application for reconsideration, the decision of the fine is not final yet.
