A new consolidated version of Council Regulation (EC) No 147/2003 concerning „certain restrictive measures in respect of Somalia“ was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU.
The Regulation contains various amendments made by Council Regulation (EU) 2023/154 which specifically repealed Article 2a and added two new Annexes to the 2003 Regulation to transpose a new UN Security Council Resolution which primarily expands the list of goods and services that may be provided to Somalia provided that certain conditions are met (prior notification, the purpose of the assistance – technical or financial – is to develop Somalia’s security and police institutions, etc.).
