A new consolidated German version of Regulation (EU) 2022/1917 which sets out provisions for the monitoring of financial institutions’s compliance with reporting obligations by national competent authorities and local central banks and the procedures that shall be followed in case of violations was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU. The consolidated version includes the modifications made to the German version by a corrigendum which made corrections throughout, among others, to the definitions used in the regulation, the obligations of national competent authorities and local central banks in this context, or the provision of warnings to non-compliant institutions.
