A new consolidated version of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/2251, which sets out risk management standards (e.g. collateral and margin requirements) as regards OTC derivative contracts that are not centrally cleared, was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU. The consolidated version contains the most recent amendment to the Delegated Regulation made by Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/314 which extended the exemption from margining requirements for intragroup derivative contracts where one party to the contract is located in the EU and one in a third country for which there is no equivalence decision.
