The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) published a news release to inform market participants of the withdrawal of registration of SwapEx LLC as a swap execution facility (SEF). The „exchange“ used to provide a platform for trading commodity derivatives products, including interest rate swaps. The request by the SEF for discontinuance, which was submitted to the CFTC on June 16, 2023, was approved by the regulator on September 27, 2023. Deregistration is effective September 30, 2023.
