Federal Reserve Board launches Instagram and Threads accounts with the aim of increasing the accessibility and availability of Board news and educational content

ID 25185

On October 2, 2023, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System published a press release to inform that it has launched new Instagram and Threads accounts to enhance the accessibility of its news. While the Instagram account will primarily feature educational content, including photos, videos, FAQs, and economic education material, Threads will focus on sharing press releases, speeches, reports, and other content previously available on the Board’s X account (formerly Twitter).
Despite the new accounts, the primary communication channel of the Board will remain its website at www.federalreserve.gov. Only information that has originally been posted on this site will subsequently be shared on Instagram and Threads.
