Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2207 of 13 October 2023 amending Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/2272 on the equivalence of financial markets in Australia in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 648/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council to take account of recent developments in the financial markets in Australia

New Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/2207 as regards the equivalence of Australian financial markets was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU. The new implementing decision simply modifies the previous implementing decision of 2016 (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/2272) concerning same issue to replace the list of trading venues set out in the Annex to include another trading venue, namely FEX Global Pty Ltd., which was previously authorized by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) to facilitate „trades in derivatives“.
The following trading venues are now included in the list of equivalent financial markets:
1. ASX Limited,
2. Australian Securities Exchange Limited trading as ASX 24,
3. Chi-X Australia Pty Ltd trading as Cboe Australia,
4. FEX Global Pty Ltd.
