The Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (SFC) has issued a revised version of its Compliance Checklist for Application of MPF Schemes. The checklist MUST be submitted to the SFC alongside the prescribed documents or filing forms in the application process for being registered as an MPF scheme. Among others, it contains or requires information on
(1) the funds offered by the scheme, including the number of constituent funds (their names, types of fund, management, fees, etc.);
(2) the scheme’s custodian, trustee, and fund manager;
(3) the profile of the fund manager;
(4) information to be disclosed in the marketing material (principal brochure) such as the investment objectives and fees;
(5) provisions of the constitutive documents; and
(6) the confirmation forms to be submitted by various stakeholders to verify compliance with the authorization conditions and terms of the SFC.
