The EU Commission has published a Corrigendum to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/2581 in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU. To recall, the Implementing Regulation defines the templates to be used for submitting information referred to in Articles 1 through 9 in Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/2580 in connection with an application for authorization as a credit institution in the EU. It also sets out the application and assessment procedures of competent authorities as regards such applications and stipulates certain other requirements of NCAs in this context (contact points, format of submission). Please see EventID 18942 in this context for detailed information on the Implementing Regulation.
The Corrigendum now sets out the application date of the Implementing Regulation which was accidentally specified as „XX.XX.XXXX“ in the original publication. Therefore, the Corrigendum modifies Article 3 and Article 4 relating to the „Applications for authorisation as a credit institution subject to this Regulation“ and „Entry into force and date of application“, respectively, to set the application date to July 18, 2023.
The Corrigendum also modifies two erroneous footnotes in the document, namely footnote 2 of the main body of the regulation and footnote 1 of the Annex, which specify the pages of the OJ where above noted Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/2580 can be found to now read as follows – in either case:
„OJ L 335, 29.12.2022, p. 64“.
