A corrigendum to various language versions of the Network and Information Security (NIS) Directive 2 aimed at achieving a high common level of cyber security and further improving the resilience and incident response capacities of both public and private sector entities was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU.
The corrigendum corrects – in the English version – Article 19(1) relating to the tasks of the Cooperation Group, comprised of representatives of the European Commission, Member States, and the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA) with respect to peer reviews. Specifically, the corrigendum stipulates that
„The Cooperation Group shall, by 17 January 2025, establish, with the assistance of the Commission and ENISA, and, where relevant, the CSIRTs [cybersecurity incident response teams] network, the methodology and organisational aspects of peer reviews …“.
Before the corrigendum, the passage read „on 17 January 2025“.
