The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published a press statement to inform of the availability of an updated Authorisations Operating Service Metrics, which is expected to provide more transparency over the FCA’s supervisory activities and keeps firms up-to-date on expected processing times of regulatory filings.
Specifically, the matrix sets out the intended and actual processing times for notification and applications of firms during 2022 and 2023, specifically from the supervisory Q2 2022/2023 through supervisory Q2 2023/2024 – please see the note below in the comments box as regards supervisory quarters and years of the FCA.
Off-target as regards the intended processing times are still the following processes:
– new firm authorizations,
– applications to receive an „approved person“ status following the appointment by a firm,
– authorizations in connection with payment services and e-money providers,
– decisions on proposed changes in control of firms,
– money laundering registrations, and
– the notification of UK agents of payment service providers.
