The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has published its third Fee Rate Advisory for the current fiscal year. The fee rates are determined annually and reassessed during the year to ensure that transaction fees paid on securities transactions including derivatives cover the funding needs of the Commission. In this latest advisory, the SEC announces that it will leave all fees as they are which means that securities transaction fees will remain at $8.00 per $1 million and the fee rate for transactions of futures contracts at $0.0042 for each round turn transaction.
Those fees were also announced by the Financial Regulatory Authority (FINRA) on February 14, 2023 in a corresponding information notice.
The fee rates will be applicable „until September 30, 2023, or 60 days after the enactment of a regular FY 2024 appropriation, whichever is later“.
