The CBI announces its intention to comply with the recent statement from ESMA (please see eventid=20547) concerning the Derivatives Trading Obligation (DTO) in light of the anticipated migration of CDS contracts away from ICE Clear Europe.
This declaration aims to facilitate the smooth transition of positions from ICE Clear Europe to alternative CCPs, given the impending closure of ICE Clear Europe’s credit default swap clearing service, scheduled for 27 October 2023.
