The Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) has published a press release to inform of several decisions that the KNF made at its bi-weekly meeting on May 31, 2023. These include the following, among others:
1. The participants agreed not to object to an acquisition of Bank Handlowy w Warszawie SA in the excess of 50% of voting share capital by Citigroup Inc. via its European subsidiary Citibank Europe plc. in accordance with the Capital Requirements Directive (CRD IV) and the Polish Banking Law;
2. The participants authorized the withdrawal from share listing of Berling SA on the Warsaw Stock Exchange SA as of June 20, 2023; and
3. The participants agreed to the appointment of the President of the Management Board of Polski Bank Spółdzielczy located in Poznań.
