Various new consolidated language versions of Council Regulation (EU) No 36/2012 – this one is the German version – regarding sanctions measures with respect to the Syrian regime and its supporters in view of serious human rights violations were published on the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU.
The consolidated versions contain the amendments made by:
1. Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1498 which modified Annex II of Council Regulation (EU) No 36/2012 to add one person to the section A sanctions list (natural persons) (please see EventID 22093 in this context for more information) and
2. Corrigendum to Council Regulation (EU) 2023/1462 which corrected a wrong made date of the 2023 regulation which itself modified Council Regulation (EU) No 36/2012 to permit until February 24, 2024 certain financial transactions and – under special circumstances – the release of frozen funds for humanitarian purposes.
