A new consolidated version of Council Regulation (EC) No 305/2006 as regards asset freezing measures with respect to person involved in „the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri“ was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU.
The consolidated version contains the amendments made by Council Regulation (EU) 2023/331 which installed provisions to permit the release of frozen funds to and „the provision of technical assistance, financing or financial assistance“ by several entities for humanitarian purposes pursuant to a new resolution of the United Nations Security Council.
