New consolidated version: Council Regulation (EC) No 765/2006 of 18 May 2006 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Belarus and the involvement of Belarus in the Russian aggression against Ukraine

A new consolidated version of Council Regulation (EC) No 765/2006 regarding sanction measures directed against Belarus in view of the situation in the country and its involvement in the Russian aggression towards Ukraine was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU.
The consolidated version includes amendments
1. in its Annex I setting out a list of sanctioned persons, entities, and bodies which were made by Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1591. Latter added a total of 38 individuals and three entities to that sanctions list. Please also see EventID #22363 in this context for more information.
2. in various Articles and the addition of new Annexes primarily to extend existing trade restrictions by banning the sale, supply, or export of firearms listed in Annex II, prohibiting related services like trade financing or brokering for the mentioned firearms, expanding the prohibition of dual-use goods being exported, supplied, or sold to Belarus, along with related services, and banning the sale, supply, or export of goods suitable for aviation or space industries, as specified in the new Annex XVII.
