A new consolidated version of Council Regulation (EU) 2016/1686 in connection with sanction measures directed against individuals, firms, or bodies associated with the terrorist organizations Al-Qaida and / or the ISIL has been published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU.
The consolidated version contains the amendments made by Council Regulation (EU) 2023/720 which modified article 2 of the 2016 Regulation to implement provisions to permit the release of frozen funds and the performance of certain financial activities for humanitarian purposes.
