A new consolidated version of Council Regulation (EU) No 359/2011 as regards „restrictive measures directed against certain persons, entities and bodies in view of the situation in Iran“ was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU.
The Regulation contains amendments to its Annex I setting out a list of sanctioned individuals, firms, and bodies which were made by Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1779. Specifically, the 2023 regulation added four natural persons and six entities to the list following the continued aggression against demonstrators by security forces, the unlawful detainment of such demonstrators, and the restriction of internet access to the general population in the country.
