A new consolidated version of Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 as regards sanction measures – including asset freezing and other prohibitions – „in view of Russia’s actions destabilising the situation in Ukraine“ was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU. The consolidated version includes the amendments made by Council Regulation (EU) 2022/2474 which imposed extensive new sanction measures in this context including further trade restrictions, restrictions as to the provision of investment (advice) services, restrictions as regards the dealing with entities operating in the energy or mining sector, the ban of certain media networks and companies and many more.
