A new consolidated version of Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 as regards sanction measures – including asset freezing and other prohibitions – „in view of Russia’s actions destabilising the situation in Ukraine“ was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU. The consolidated version includes the amendments made by Council Regulation (EU) 2023/427 which modified numerous articles and annexes of the 2014 Regulation to implement additional trade and business prohibitions and restrictions with respect to Russia and to require extensive reporting of financial market participants relating to securities issued by the Central Bank of Russia or any transactions related to the management of reserves of the Central Bank.
