A new consolidated version of the Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities Directive, UCITS Directive (Directive 2009/65/EC) was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU. The version includes changes made by Directive (EU) 2021/2261. In particular, the UCITS Directive has been amended to prevent that EU UCITS that are sold as packaged retail and insurance-based investment products (PRIIPs) to investors will have to supply both documents to such, the „Key Investor Information“ document under the UCITS Directive and the PRIIP KID „Key Information Document“ under the PRIIPs Regulation (Regulation (EU) No 1286/2014) from January 1, 2023 and to deem the PRIIPs KID „Key Information Document“ as satisfying all investor disclosure requirements in this context.
