Accountancy Europe and EFRAG will jointly host a 2-hour webinar titled „Supporting high-quality ESRS implementation“ on 12 December from 10:00 to 12:00 CET.
As a reminder, commencing on 1 January 2024, the CSRD and the ESRS will become effective, impacting the reporting practices of relevant companies. The ESRS delineate reporting requirements under the CSRD, introducing novel concepts and obligations that will pose challenges for stakeholders within the corporate reporting ecosystem.
Currently, EFRAG is actively engaged in formulating a compilation of ESRS datapoints and providing guidance on two pivotal ESRS concepts: materiality assessment and value chain. The webinar aims to address the challenges associated with ESRS implementation and facilitate discussions on overcoming these hurdles. Furthermore, it will provide a platform for sharing insights from the reporting ecosystem, particularly focusing on two implementation guidance documents under consultation: the draft Materiality Assessment Implementation Guidance and the draft Value Chain Implementation Guidance.
Distinguished speakers at the event whose diverse expertise will contribute to a comprehensive exploration of the challenges and solutions in implementing ESRS effectively include Tom Dodd, Team Leader, Sustainability Reporting, European Commission; Mark Vaessen, President, Accountancy Europe | Global Head of Corporate & Sustainability Reporting, KPMG; Hilde Blomme, Deputy CEO, Accountancy Europe; Patrick de Cambourg, Chair, Sustainability Reporting Board, EFRAG; Chiara Del Prete, Chair, Sustainability Reporting Technical Expert Group, EFRAG; Simon Braaksma, Senior Director, Corporate Sustainability, Philips; Olivier Schérer, Chair, Corporate Reporting Policy Group, Accountancy Europe | Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Sustainability Reporting Leader, PwC; and Wim Bartels, Chair, Sustainability Policy Group, Accountancy Europe | European Sustainability Senior Partner, Deloitte.
