The Polish Financial Supervision Authority, KNF, has published a press statement to announce the launch of a „nationwide information campaign under the slogan „NOT ALL GOLD THAT IS GOLD – INVEST consciously!“. With this campaign, the regulator aims to increase investors‘ comprehension of financial markets and financial market functioning and to alert investors as to the potential risks involved when making investments. Specifically, the KNF seeks to
– raise awareness among investors that potentially high returns on investments come with higher risks, including the risk to loose all of the invested funds;
– guide investors towards risk diversification;
– motivate (potential) investors to thoroughly check and „verify all information on potential investments“ and particularly the sources of such information; and
– facilitate an understanding about the KNF’s functions and responsibilities so as to ensure that investors understand that the Authority is NOT responsible for any losses incurred from investments.
The campaign will include spots launched on radio programs, social media, and the internet as well as publications in regional or national print mediums. Additionally, the KNF has installed a new website at https://inwestujswiadomie.com.pl/ to supplement its campaign.
