The UK government has granted a license under the Counter-Terrorism (International Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (“the CT2 Regulations 2019”) associated with allowing United Nations and other humanitarian organisations provide aid which could take the form of processing payments or funds, or other economic resources whenever necessary in the light of the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
These funds can’t stem from sanctioned individuals, as described in the CT 2 Regulations 2019, unless acting only as a intermediary. However, the activities can’t breach the the CT 2 Regulations 2019.
Such activities are required to report to OFSI within 30 days of the expiration date and should include the following information:
– The details of the Relevant Person using the General License;
– The details of the Relevant Activities that have been conducted using this General License;
– The total value of funds, economic resources, goods and services provided, processed or paid pursuant to those Relevant Activities.
