ID 23120

The ABBL published its Annual Report 2022, providing a comprehensive overview of the activities and achievements of the ABBL in promoting the sustainable development of regulated, innovative, and responsible banking services, and demonstrating the ABBL’s commitment to promoting a responsible banking sector and creating shared value for its stakeholders.
The report is divided into five sections, including a portrait of the Luxembourg banking sector, advocacy for members‘ interests, facilitating exchanges and fostering best practices, reporting on the ABBL’s responsibility, and a breakdown of ABBL members.
The report highlights the ABBL’s commitment to CSR and its efforts to align with recognized international standards on sustainability reporting. The ABBL conducted a renewed Materiality assessment report in 2022 to determine stakeholder expectations and increase transparency on these elements.
The ABBL also joined a working group of the Commission des Normes Comptables dedicated to the European Sustainability Reporting Standards and joined Luxembourg’s national Platform on climate action and energy transition.
The ABBL’s Foundation for Financial Education launched a new workshop to familiarize high school students with the basics of responsible investing and conducted a survey jointly with the Luxembourg Sustainable Finance Initiative and the CSSF on the general public’s perceptions and knowledge of sustainable finance. The Foundation also kicked off a radio campaign on sustainable finance in collaboration with RTL and the CSSF.
The ABBL played a pivotal role in the Luxembourg financial center’s ecosystem, creating a constructive dialogue between stakeholders, encouraging collaborations, and facilitating exchanges of best practices. The ABBL provided members with industry and regulatory expertise through research projects and diversified its range of industry and thematic surveys.
