The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has published a new version of the so-called „Lodgement Practice Note for Collective Investment Schemes“. The note outlines lodging practices that shall be followed by collective investment schemes (CIS) offered or to be offered in Singapore including those constituted outside Singapore in connection with the following:
(1) the application or the recognition of the CIS including relevant forms to be submitted, a timeframe for submission, application for exemption from the Securities and Futures Act, and application for inclusion in the Central Provident Fund Investment Scheme,
(2) the registration of prospectuses also including forms to be submitted, the timeframe for submission, the method of submission, and applicable fees to be paid by the CIS,
(3) the filing of prospectus amendments or the refiling of a prospectus,
(4) updates of particulars, and
(5) the winding up of a CIS.
This latest revised version includes a new checklist in Appendix A1 that must be submitted when lodging prospectuses. The corresponding lodgment requirement is also noted (revised paragraph 22, letter (e).
