Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/379 of 20 February 2023 implementing Regulation (EU) No 359/2011 concerning restrictive measures directed against certain persons, entities and bodies in view of the situation in Iran

New Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/379 regarding sanctions measures directed towards person, entities, and bodies engaged in or supportive of serious human rights violations in Iran was published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU. It amends the list of sanctioned parties set out in Annex I to Council Regulation (EU) No 359/2011 by adding 32 persons and two entities to the list following the continued aggression against demonstrators by security forces, the unlawful detainment of such demonstrators, and the restriction of internet access to the general population in the country. As the number of sanctioned individuals and entities is quite large, we refrain from listing them individually at this point.
