Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1765 of 13 September 2023 implementing Regulation (EU) No 269/2014 concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine

Following a recent review of the list of sanctioned individuals, bodies, and persons that are designated due to their involvement in the threatening of „the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine“, the European Council has modified its sanction list. In new Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1765 which was now published in the Official Journal (OJ) of the EU, the Council modifies Annex I of Council Regulation (EU) No 269/2014 by
(1) removing four individuals from the sanctions list altogether, namely
– Entry #901 – Farkhad AKHMEDOV
– Entry #911 – Aleksandr Aleksandrovich SHULGIN (Александр Александрович ШУЛЬГИН)
– Entry #918 – Grigory Viktorovich BEREZKIN (Григорий Викторович БЕРЁЗКИН)
– Entry #1464 – Georgy Ivanovich SHUVAEV (Георгий Иванович ШУВАЕВ)
(2) updating the information regarding 140 individuals and 41 entities that are currently placed on the EU sanctions list. Due to the large number of individuals and entities, we refrain from listing them individually at this point. Please refer to the enclosed original document for more information on their entry numbers, names, places of residency, etc.
