A revised version of the Limited Partnership Fund Ordinance was published on Hong Kong’s e-Legislation platform, Hong Kong’s website for publicizing legal documents.
It contains modifications to the following parts:
1. Part 1 – Preliminary which primarily sets out the definitions used throughout the Ordinance.
2. Part 7 – Migration of Fund Set up in Form of Limited Partnership Registered under Limited Partnerships Ordinance to this Ordinance which specifies the eligibility criteria for being registered as a limited partnership fund and the effects of such registration as to the supervision of the fund.
3. Part 7A – Re-domiciliation of Fund Set up in Form of Non-Hong Kong Limited Partnership which sets out the eligibility criteria for re-domiciled funds (funds that were originally issued outside of Hong Kong and subsequently „transferred“ to the city) for being registered as a limited partnership fund and the effects of such registration as to the supervision of the fund.

Please note: As the changes are not indicated in the English part of the documents – which they usually are – we assume the changes to be in the Chinese part. However, as we cannot say this with certainty, we recommend the relevant parts to be thoroughly reviewed.
