The purpose of the present circular is to repeal CSSF Circular 08/334 relative to encryption specifications for declarants, and CSSF Circular 08/344 concerning the provisions regarding the transmission of reporting files to CSSF.
The CSSF hereby aims to inform professionals about the applicable communication methods from now on. Depending on the approach or reporting involved, professionals will be able to utilize the following means of exchange:
1. The eDesk serves as a platform of communication for professionals.
2. An API Interface provided by the CSSF can be utilized for communication purposes.
3. MFT can be used by professionals as a means of exchanging information securely.
4. External transmission channels, more spcifically eFile & Sofie, are platforms wich can be used for transmitting files.
Professionals are invited to regularly consult the CSSF website (www.cssf.lu) or the specific eDesk website (edesk.apps.cssf.lu) to stay informed about the transmission procedures applicable to their specific processes or reporting requirements. By consulting these websites, professionals will be able to keep themselves updated on the communication methods to be employed for their respective procedures or reporting obligations.
Of note, the CSSF also updated its Methods of transmitting reports via external channels (Naming convention) file, specifying the file names to be used for reportings exchanged through external channels (eFile & Sofie).
