Décision du 13 décembre 2022 relative à la réciprocité du coussin pour le risque systémique adopté par la Banque nationale de Belgique pour les expositions sur la clientèle de détail (personnes physiques) garanties par un bien immobilier résidentiel situé en Belgique
On 3 December 2022, the Decision of 13 December 2022 on the reciprocity of the systemic risk buffer adopted by the National Bank of Belgium for exposures to retail customers (natural persons) guaranteed by residential property located in Belgium was published in the Journal officiel.
Taking into account the notification of the National Bank of Belgium (BNB) sent to the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) as well as all the quantitative and qualitative information available, the High Council of Financial Stability decided on December 13 to impose a rate of 9% to the cushion for systemic risk applicable to internal rating exposures on retail customers (individuals) guaranteed by residential property located in Belgium and arising from the cross-border activity of French banking groups or branches of banking groups established in Belgium. Only persons whose internal rating exposures on retail customers guaranteed by residential property located in Belgium are greater than or equal to 2 billion euros on an individual basis are concerned.
This decision entered into force on 29 December 2022.
