The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has announced in the Federal Register the extension of the comment period up to April 24, 2023 on its consultation as regards its „green guides“ set out in Statutory Instrument 16 CFR Part 260 concerning the use of environmental marketing claims in the marketing and promotion of products and services.
The consultation followed the rising trend for the marketing of ESG products and services and is very high level in nature in that the Commission seeks feedback on whether or not it shall maintain the guides or extend their scopes or repeal them altogether.
