The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has published revised guidelines in connection with the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) reporting requirements of institutions providing home mortgage loans. The revisions reflect amendments to the HMDA resulting from threshold amendments in Regulation C (closed-end mortgage loans data reporting) which were required by a Federal Court decision in 2022 (please see Event ID 19046 in this context for more information). Other than that, the guidance is a good source for institutions to look up
(a) the criteria used to determine whether or not an institutions is covered by the requirement (Regulation C),
(b) the transactions that must be reported on,
(c) „information that covered institutions are required to collect, record, and report, and
(d) requirements for reporting and disclosing such data“.
The guidelines also provide detailed instructions on how to report HMDA data. For further information, please see enclosed PDF file (Link background) or follow above noted link.
