The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has published a press statement to announce two upcoming workshops in Charlottesville, Virginia, as regards credit and operational risk management. The workshops encompass the following:
1. credit risk management workshop: It will focus on critical elements of effective credit risk management thereby emphasizing the role of the Board of Directors and senior management, the identification and assessment of credit risk within a loan portfolio, methodologies to stay informed of credit risk within existing loan portfolios, and the change of credit culture; and
2. operational risk management workshop: It will cover numerous issues around operational risks faced by banks such as cyber threats, other fraudulent activities, or „oversight roles and governance responsibilities particularly of upper level management“.
The registration fee for either workshop is $99 and registrations shall be made via the OCCs website linked above or directly via this form. Since participation is limited, registrations may be taken into account on a first come, first serve basis. However, there will be a waiting list for those that weren’t able to register due to the workshops being „full“. In case of subsequent cancellations by individual registrants, those waiting will be notified by the OCC. The dates and times of the workshops are outlined above in the event timeline.
