The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) published in the Federal Register an order approving proposed amendments to Rule 6220 of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in connection with the addition of a new firm, namely IntelligentCross ATS (IntelligentCross), to the list of registered and permitted alternative display facilities setting out quotes for market participants on NMS stock.
Having reviewed the argumentation of FINRA and the responses received by interested parties, and in light of the fact that IntelligentCross seemingly meets the access requirements under NMS Rule 610 in terms of costs, access speed, and access capacity, the SEC has approved the rule amendments and thus the registration of the firm.
To review the originally proposed rule amendment and the subsequent request for additional time to decide on the matter by the SEC, please consult EventID #19029 and EventID #22002.
